So you have a new puppy! Congratulations!

 

If you are reading this and you have not yet got your puppy but are planning on getting one, then lets get started. Its always best to be prepared ahead of time and I can help you with everything you need to purchase/pick up prior to getting the pup. We can start with an email and I'll give you a shopping list of things you will need, then we can schedule an in home visit to go over everything else once the pup arrives.  

If you just got your puppy and suddenly realize you don't really know what to do, it's okay! Or it's been a while since you have had a puppy and you need a refresher course to get you on the right path.  Either way my in home visits will give you a plan and a schedule that works. In Hawaii we also have many homes that are not the easiest for a young pup to navigate to get in and out so they can learn housebreaking successfully. I will take a look at the layout of your home and figure out a plan that works.

There are so many moving parts that go into raising a well adjusted pup, it can get overwhelming.  How you shape your pup and what you expose it to in its early months/years can all have a lifelong, lasting effects.

From my vast experience with puppies (I have lost count how many puppies I have had in my home in the last 30 years, I would venture to say hundreds) I can guide you and help you set up your home to get you and your pup on the right track.

 

And please know, I am not getting this from a book or an online course, all my knowledge is based on firsthand experience with puppies in my own home and through trial and error over the past few decades.

• Explaining the basics of obedience training and what you need to know

• Leash and equipment advise

• Puppy proofing your home and garden advise

• Explaining fear stages and growth stages

The initial "puppy set up" home visit takes just over an hour. The cost is $300 for North Shore, Windward and Honolulu and $350 for Millilani, Ewa, Kapolei and Waianae.  

 

If you are interested in follow up puppy training - we can discuss this in person. Right now I only do in (my) home board and train starting at a two week minimum for $2450.

You will need to have a size appropriate crate prior to my visit. I highly recommend checking on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace as they are always listed for sale at great prices/used.
